Avonlea Church

Avonlea United Church, located in Domain, just 10 kms south of LaSalle on Hwy 330, has been ministering in this area for over 100 years. We are a small, but lively congregation, of various ages, occupations, and length of residence in the area. Over the years our congregation has grown to include faithful members from LaSalle and Winnipeg and we welcome the participation of all in the life of our faith family. Our Sunday services offer a blend of contemporary and traditional worship styles and seek to be fully inclusive of all ages. Our worship services and our Sunday school are at 11:00 A.M. . We offer Sunday school from pre-kindergarten to Grade 12, have numerous intergenerational services throughout the year, and we have time of fellowship over coffee and treats following the service.

Our choir practices at 7:00 pm on Thursday evenings and welcomes anyone with a love for singing and music. Play Group meets every second Friday morning during the school year. For more info about play group please contact Angie at 736 4851.

Our UCW (United Church Women) is busy and active within the life of our congregation providing assistance with many of our projects.

We outreach through our support of the Canadian Food Grains Bank, St. Matthews Maryland Community Ministry and the Children's Wish Foundation, and the White Horse Plains Hamper Fund. We also frequently hold community events such as our Christmas Memorial Tree, Spring Tea, Pancake Breakfast and annual Heritage Service.
